1970 : Earl Hooker, American Chicago blues guitarist, born Earl Zebedee Hooker, died in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 41.

Earl Hooker

1978 : Sandy Denny, English singer and songwriter, born Alexandra Elene MacLean Denny, died in Wimbledon, England, at the age of 31. Her death was ruled to be the result of a traumatic mid-brain haemorrhage and blunt force trauma to her head, from a fall she had a few weeks earlier. (Fairport Convention)

She had beem suffering from breast cancer for several years.
