1981 : Bob "The Bear" Hite, American musician, singer and songwriter, born Robert Ernest Hite, died by snorting an overdose of heroin, having mistaken it for cocain, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 38. (Canned Heat - lead singer)

1983 : Danny Rapp, American musician, born Daniel Joseph Rapp, committed suicide by shooting himself in Quartzsite, Arizona, at the age of 41. (Danny and the Juniors - frontman)
