1997 : Nicolette Larson, American pop singer, died from complications arising from cerebral edema triggered by liver failure in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 45. Her fatal seizure was related to her chronic use of Valium and Tylenol.

2003 : Gary Stewart, American country musician and songwriter, born Gary Ronnie Stewart, died committed suicide by shooting himself at his home in Fort Pierce, Florida, at the age of 59. Three weeks before, his wife of nearly forty-three years had died of pneumonia and he had been extremely despondent.

2007 : Dan Fogelberg, American musician, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, born Daniel Grayling Fogelberg, died of prostate cancer in Deer Isle, Maine, at the age of 56.

2013 : Ray Price, American country music singer, songwriter and guitarist, born Noble Ray Price, died from pancreatic cancer at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, at the age of 87.
