1998 : Judge Dread, English reggae and ska musician, born Alexander Minto Hughes, died from a heart attack at the end of a performance at The Penny Theatre in Canterbury, at the age of 52. The Guinness Book of World Records credits Judge Dread for having the highest number of banned songs of all time.

2003 : Ian "Sammy" Samwell, English musician, songwriter and record producer, born Ian Ralph Samwell, died in Sacramento, California, at the age of 66. In the 1990s he had undergone a heart transplant.
