1987 : Dean Paul Martin, American entertainer, singer, actor, tennis player and military pilot, born Dean Paul Martin, Jr., died when, during a snowstorm, his National Guard jet fighter crashed in San Bernardino Mountains, California, at the age of 35. (Dino, Desi and Billy)

1991 : Leo Fender, American inventor who founded Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, born Clarence Leonidas Fender, died in Fullerton, California at the age of 81. He had been long suffering from Parkinson's disease and had suffered several minor stokes.
