1964 : Ray Charles' "Busted" wins a Grammy as Best R&B Recording.

1967 : Archie Bell is drafted into the U.S. Army.
 

1967 : Pink Floyd stages the first-ever rock concert with quadraphonic sound at Queen Elizabeth Hall in England.

1975 : Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock meet at rehearsals for a production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Sydney, Australia. They would become good friends and form Air Supply.

1977 : The Sex Pistols sign their third recording contract in less than six months, with Virgin Records.

1981 : Debbie Harry announces that she's going to record a solo album, while continuing to work with Blondie.

1983 : Meat Loaf files for bankruptcy.
