1975 : Jackie Mabley, aka "Moms" Mabley, American standup comedian and a pioneer of the so-called "Chitlin' Circuit" of African-American vaudeville, born Loretta Mary Aiken, died from heart failure in White Plains, New York, at the age of 81.
