1997 : Michael Hutchence, Australian musician and actor, born Michael Kelland John Hutchence, was found dead in a hotel room in Sydney at the age of 37. The coroner ruled that Hutchence's death was a suicide while depressed and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. (INXS)
