1996 : Lee Baker, American musician and bandleader, was shot dead, along with his aunt Sally McKay and her house was burned down, in Lake Horseshoe, Illinois, at the age of 52. Precise date of birth not known. (Moloch [Memphs blues rock band formed in 1968] - founder, guitar, vocals)

2005 : Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, born Clarence Brown in Vinton, Louisiana. American musician., died in Orange, Texas, at the age of 81. He had been suffering from emphysema and heart disease. During Hurricane Katrina he was evacuated to his childhood hometown in Texas, where he died.

2010 : Mr. Tater aka the Music Maker, American bluesman from Clarksdale, Mississippi, born Foster Wiley, died from kidney and other health problems at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 63.
